Okay, I have had an epic fail as far as my NaNoWriMo efforts go. I have a sum total of 2100 words written. I have excuses, but I am not into playing the excuse game. I could buckle down and catch up – that IS within the realm of the possible – but I’m just not that into my novel this year. So what am I gonna do about it? I’m gonna get on with some serious game design antics. I am going to blow the dust off of something I have had on the back burner and have a serious tilt at it. I am committing to my NaGa DeMon endeavours right here, right now.
And what is it that is getting dragged from the back of my metaphorical cupboard? I think it’s time to show Verge some more love.
This is wonderful news! Oh, hang on, slightly ambiguous. I wasn’t saying that it was wonderful that you’ve failed in NaNoWriMo but wonderful that you’re picking up Verge again. Hmmm, failed is a bit negative but you know what I mean. I made my opinions very clear about Verge and the offer still stands. If you turn it into a full-ish game, I’ll review it again when you’re happy with it!
Your kind words were appreciated back in 2009, and they spur me onwards now! I am not sure I will get to 90+ pages in November, but I have some big ideas to cram into my little game. I will be “brainstorming in public” via this blog.
Hurray for community! It’s efforts like this that make me feel like it is all worthwhile. π
Nathan, sorry for NaNo, but happy about Naga Demon. I’ll be curious what you will come up with π
I’ve just realized yesterday that there is a calculation in my game which is much more complex than I ever thought. But I’m not giving up, I still have 22 days in this month to finish the thing π
