John Cleese. The great, clever and creative John Cleese. He is brilliant, funny and obviously a geek. You’ve seen Monty Python haven’t you – it’s full of geeky greatness! A long time ago John Cleese gave a talk about creativity. It is 36 minutes long, but it is great. The short version is: You cannot force creativity, you have to let it happen. Give yourself opportunities to learn, experience and think. Be brave and follow your gut.
I don’t think there is anything Cleese has done that I haven’t enjoyed. Monty Python, A Fish Called Wanda, even as “Q” from James Bond films! I am going to add this clip to the list.
Today I am linking up with Jess and I Blog On Tuesdays.
Life of Brian – funniest movie ever.
Don’t forget Fawlty Towers! One of my favourites, back in the day! He is a legend. Don’t have 30 minutes at the moment but once the child is at school I will!
He is such a clever man, though I never had much time for him until I saw a few interviews and then he just seemed to grow on me. My husband is a crazed fan so they may also have had something to do with my change of heart
I love the advice of being brave and follow your gut, something I will pass on to my children! I love him in Faulty Towers. Emily
great vid!
Love John Cleese – The Ministry of Silly Walks. Enought said really.
He is one of my all-time favourites, great advice too.
Some people just have ‘it’ don’t they? And he is definitely one of those people! Thanks for sharing 🙂
I sometimes worry that I am not creative enough. It is reassuring to know that I shouldn’t be forcing it, hopefully it will just “happen” naturally…hopefully!
