Marian Call is a singer-song writer from Alaska. I first heard of Marian a couple of years ago when she embarked on a tour of all 50 states of the US. She was doing small, intimate shows in the living rooms of fans, which is totally awesome. There are also a lot of youtube clips of her doing these small concerts in comic book shops and in booths at cons, which is just great – it would be fantastic to see more of this kind of thing in Australia.
Marian Call’s songs are funny and geeky and her voice is great. Oh, and she plays the typewriter. Yes, the typewriter.
