Way back at the start of January the kids and I planted some vegies. Well, it recently was time to harvest the fruits of our labour and I thought I would share the results.
Our tomato plant produced two gorgeous red tomatoes, though Delilah plucked one early, and Kirsty helped me out the other day by removing the other from the plant before I had a chance to photograph it! Here they are!
The carrots, however, did not go so well!
Any feedback? I think my carrot’s soil had too many lumpy bits, but I don’t know what else was the problem.

Yay! Tomatoes are the only thing we have grown successfully also. We have managed to kill two worm farms and three vegetable patches. The tomatoes however are delicious!
Haha, we’ve grown these carrots too! Lovely tomatoes 🙂
Funky carrots! There’s something so satisfying about harvesting your own fruit and vegies. I bet those tomatoes were super sweet.
Exciting! They look delicious (even the carrots) My kids are desperate to grow their own but I, personally, have a black thumb and my husband (the gardener)doesn’t seem to be acting on their desires.
Your carrots made me chuckle!! Only because I know I couldn’t do any better. I’ve got absolutely no green thumb.
Tomatoes look great x
Nothing better than children growing vegies.
