I saw Mad Max: Fury Road a when it came out a couple of months ago and got all inspired for some road-based carnage. I pulled out matchbox and hot wheels cars (and bought more than a few new ones!) and went to town. I haven’t shared them until now because my phone was playing up and I couldn’t get the photos! But here is some of what I did:
Mad Max Inspired Mayhem

Hi Nathan, would love to know a bit more about the process of making the models. They look great.
I’ll have a go at writing up another post to share some of what I did, Richard.
Those look awesome! What rules system are you using to try them out? Car Wars? Dark Future? Outrider?
I had a look at Dark Future but found it way too complicated. Car Wars is okay, but the car building process and record keeping was a bit too complicated for my kids. Outrider is cool, but I didn’t have the patience to print and cut out all those cards!
In the end I wrote my own set of rules (like there was ever going to be another option!). I will write them up and share them at some point, but at the moment they are just notes on scrap paper.
Hi Nathan – the Mad Max mods looks awesome. Can you work us through the basic process you used? Where did the ‘mods’ come from?
